Our Story<\/h2>

Payra Social Welfare was founded on 1 February 2011 with a simple yet powerful belief: every individual has a responsibility to serve humanity. What began as the shared vision of a group of passionate students and young volunteers in the small village of Askar, Agailjhara, Barishal, Bangladesh, has grown into a dedicated voluntary organization committed to creating positive social change.<\/p>

Our journey started after witnessing the struggles of talented students forced to abandon their education because of poverty, families devastated by natural disasters, and communities lacking access to essential healthcare and social support. Rather than accepting these realities, we chose to act. With our own small savings, voluntary contributions, and an unwavering commitment to humanity, we established Payra Social Welfare as a non-political, non-profit, and volunteer-driven organization.<\/p>

From the beginning, education has remained at the heart of our mission. We believe that education is the most powerful tool for breaking the cycle of poverty and building a prosperous nation. Over the years, we have supported financially disadvantaged students by assisting with Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination registration fees, educational expenses, scholarships, and learning opportunities, enabling many young people to continue their academic journey with dignity and hope.<\/p>

As our organization grew, so did our commitment to serving society. Today, our work extends beyond education to include disaster response, public health initiatives, environmental conservation, youth development, community awareness, humanitarian assistance, and social welfare programs. Whenever communities face hardship, our volunteers strive to stand beside them with compassion, practical support, and hope for a better future.<\/p>

Our activities are guided by seven enduring values:<\/p>
